AutoCAD Map 3D Essentials

Course Description

Familiarity with Windows based computer operating systems and an understanding of civil engineering terminology are both assets for this course. It is preferred that students have completed the Autodesk AutoCAD – Fundamentals or the AutoCAD Civil 3D – Essentials course.

Using the functionality of AutoCAD Map 3D features, students will learn about drawing-based and geospatial features including how to create, manage, and map data.

• Linking and managing drawing-based attribute data
• Creating and editing geometry
• Using object classification
• Connecting and editing geospatial features
• Querying features and drawing-based attribute data
• Importing and exporting drawing-based data
• Working with raster images and source drawings
• Using source drawing queries
• Plotting maps
• Using Survey and Lidar data
• Working with industry models
