On March 28, 2023, Autodesk will be releasing changes to Autodesk Build Forms status and permissions.

Autodesk Build Forms is introducing a new, optional “In Review” step. By default, no existing forms will have “In Review”. 

The new “In Review” step adds an additional associated permissions level. To align the statuses and permissions with the updated actions, statuses and permissions levels will have the following changes within Autodesk Build Forms:

1. Status Changes

  • “Draft” status will become “In Progress” status
  • “Submitted” status will become “Closed” status

2. Permission changes

  • “Contributors” permissions will become “Editors”
  • The current “Reviewer” permissions acts as view only and will become “Viewer”
  • The newly associated permissions for “In Review” will be labeled “Reviewer”
  • “Manager” permissions will be able to reopen closed 2 step (forms not having been “In Review”), reassign collaborative forms, sign and close “In Review” forms

All of these changes will occur automatically for new and existing projects in platform.
