With the 2020 release of Autodesk Infraworks, users who are subscribers to BIM360 Docs will notice a difference in the Model Builder for Infraworks. Unlike the previous version, when creating a new model with the Model Builder, there is a conspicuous absence of the BIM360 Docs folders.
You still create the model as normal by giving it a name and hitting the Create Model button. Once your model is finished, you will still get an email from Autodesk stating your model is created and ready for download.
Now, when you download, you will be presented with a new dialog box requesting whether you want your model to be downloaded locally, or synced with a BIM360 Docs folder.
If you choose BIM360, you will be presented with a new dialog that will allow you to choose an appropriate folder to sync to. Your model will then behave as it has in the past with a copy in the cloud in BIM360 Docs and a local cache copy to work on and sync back.
If you choose to download Local, it will still save to the same location on your hard drive where the cache models are placed. You can then copy it to another project folder if needed using the Duplicate Model command.
